About Us

The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium, under the auspices of Montclair State University, is dedicated to preserving and honoring the legacy of Hinchliffe Stadium—one of the last remaining Negro League stadiums and the hometown field of trailblazer Larry Doby.
Through dynamic public programs, educational initiatives, and community engagement, the Museum promotes a deeper understanding of Hinchliffe’s vital role in American social history and its enduring power to unite the diverse communities of Paterson.
